Reward token
XIII rewards
XIII (“Thirteen”) is a reward for using NAKSwap: 1,000 XIII for every 1 ICP of NAKSwap fees you pay, up to 25,000 a day, with total supply capped at 161,803,398. It isn’t backed by anything, has no built-in uses, and is not an investment. NAK makes no promise about its value.

Read from the XIII ledger and minter on the Internet Computer, refreshed every minute. Anyone can check them on the ICP Dashboard.
The rules
One rule, two caps, one minter. They are written into the minter’s code and the ledger’s settings; the controllers can’t mint outside them.
1,000 XIII per 1 ICP of fees
A completed swap mints XIII equal to 1,000 × the NAKSwap fee it paid, in ICP. The whole fee counts, including its 0.1% cycles share. Fractions count too: a 0.0123 ICP fee earns 12.3 XIII.
Only completed swaps
XIII is minted once the swap has delivered: NAK reached you (buying), or the ICP went to Houdiniswap (selling). A refunded, expired or cancelled order earns nothing. Each order is rewarded once, however many times a router retries.
Usually within a minute
The router reports the swap to the minter in the background and the minter mints straight to your principal. If either is briefly unavailable, the report waits and is retried; it never delays the swap itself.
Since October 13, 2026
Rewards began with the router upgrade on October 13, 2026. Swaps before that earn no XIII, and there is no way to mint it for them: there was no pre-mint and there is no admin mint.
Who gets it
XIII goes to an ICP principal you gave for the order, never to a deposit address.
| Swap | XIII goes to | Fee it counts | Minted when |
|---|---|---|---|
| Buy NAK (any token through Houdiniswap, or ICP) | The principal that receives your NAK | The 1.1% fee, in ICP | NAK is delivered |
| Buy NAK with ckUSDC | The principal that receives your NAK | The 1.1% fee: taken in ICP on the route through ICP, or in ckUSDC on the direct route, counted at the ckUSDC/ICP price the router tracks | NAK is delivered |
| Sell NAK | Your ICP refund principal (your proceeds land on another chain) | The 10.1% fee, in ICP | The ICP is sent to Houdiniswap |
Examples
Selling earns more per swap than buying because its fee is higher. The rule is the same for both: rewards follow the fees paid.
| Swap | NAKSwap fee | XIII minted |
|---|---|---|
| Buy NAK with 10 ICP | 0.11 ICP | 110 |
| Buy NAK with 1 ICP | 0.011 ICP | 11 |
| Buy NAK with 100 ckUSDC (ICP at $3.10) | 1.1 ckUSDC ≈ 0.355 ICP | ≈ 355 |
| Sell NAK, swap brings in 38 ICP | 3.84 ICP | 3,838 |
| Very large day: 30 ICP of fees | 30 ICP | 25,000 (daily cap) |
Caps
- Daily cap: 25,000 XIII per principal per UTC day (25 ICP of fees). A reward that would go over it is cut to what is left that day; the rest is not minted and does not carry over. The day resets at 00:00 UTC.
- Hard cap: 161,803,398 XIII, ever. The first nine digits of the golden ratio φ (1.61803398…), the proportion behind the shapes drawn from Metatron’s cube. It counts everything ever minted, so burning XIII frees no room. At 1,000 XIII per ICP it covers 161,803 ICP of fees. Once it is reached, the minter grants nothing more and rewards end.
- Once per order. Each (router, order) pair can mint one time only.
- No pre-mint, no team allocation, no admin mint. Every XIII in existence came from a completed swap. Total minted ÷ 1,000 equals the ICP of fees rewarded.
Who controls it
Three canisters, with the same controllers as the rest of NAKSwap (NAK’s owner principal, NAK’s Orbit station, and CycleOps’ read-only status checker; see Transparency).
| Canister | ID | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| XIII minter | 54a4r-7yaaa-aaaai-raw2q-cai | The ledger’s minting account: the only thing that can create XIII. Accepts reports only from the three NAKSwap routers fixed when it was installed. |
| XIII ledger | fdf7u-2aaaa-aaaae-aha3q-cai | DFINITY’s standard ICRC-1/ICRC-2 ledger (the same build as ckBTC’s) |
| XIII index | qg3hj-ciaaa-aaaac-bge3q-cai | DFINITY’s standard index, so wallets and explorers can show each holder’s history |
What the controllers can and can’t do
- Can: pause new rewards (routers keep their reports until it is unpaused); re-send a reward the ledger refused as too old, after checking on the index that it never arrived; turn reward reports on or off on each router; upgrade the canisters, like any NAKSwap canister (every upgrade is logged on the status page).
- Can’t, in the minter’s code: mint to anyone directly, change the rate or the caps, or add a router. An upgrade keeps the rules the minter was installed with.
What XIII isn’t
- No discounts, staking, perks or governance on NAKSwap. Holding XIII changes nothing about your swaps.
- NAK doesn’t create or fund a market for XIII, list it, buy it back, or comment on its price. If others open a pool, that is theirs.
- XIII is a reward, not a payment, a refund or a right to anything; see the Terms. Any taxes on XIII you receive are yours.

See it in your wallet
In any ICP wallet that supports custom tokens (for example NNS, Oisy or Plug), add a token by its ledger ID: fdf7u-2aaaa-aaaae-aha3q-cai. Some wallets also ask for the index ID above to show your history.
What is public
Like any token on the Internet Computer, every XIII mint and transfer is public on the ledger: the principal, the amount and the time. A reward’s memo names the route (buy, ckUSDC or sell) and a running mint number, never your order number. More in the Privacy Policy.
